La campagne pour l'élection du nouveau leader du projet Debian a débuté et verra s'opposer l'actuel leader, Steve McIntyre, à Stefano Zacchiroli actuel responsable du PTS (Package Tracking System), de l'éditeur Vim et du paquet Python.
